Adulting. Taxes. Information overwhelm. Decision overwhelm. Doom scrolling. Podcast bingeing. The finance bill in Kenya. The genocide in Gaza. The war in Sudan. The inhumanity in Congo. All of it. Its crushing me down. Today, I am exhausted.

So, I thought about exhaustion today. I thought about how as an adult or as an activist or as a worker you get exhausted from so much happening around you that when you get time to rest, you are thinking about the exhaustion and getting more exhausted.

I thought about how when championing for human rights, you fight systems that often ‘end up winnng’ and you end up exhausted about the constant work you do for systems that ignore you.

I think about how much love and kindness you give to people and they drain it out of you. I thought about exhaustion so much that I am now exhausted to write.
